Windows are all in

It's nice having the windows installed in the house. There were a couple times I heard a few "words" being said as the installers worked. Some of the windows are extremely large and very heavy. I don't think they could have accomplished the task without the use of the lift. They make things much easier with the machines now adays.
The next task we have is to finalize the floor pick as everything bounces off the coloring of the hardwood. We love the tigerwood, and if we go with that we take the lightest hue in the wood and that is the color of the beams and struts inside. The darkest of the red hue is the cabinets and trims. The other consideration is a hickory floor that is much much lighter. It doesn't have any of the red hues in it. If we go with that the beams and struts will be almost natural and the trim and cabinets will also be lighter, but have a light brown vs. red tint. We took both floor samples over to the house tonight to see how they would look. We have to remember when the days are gray, we don't want a lot of dark. I'll be happy with either, but so far, haven't decided one way or the other.
