Dave drove up for a short visit with Brandon and Jake. We all had a great time mostly enjoying the property and our beach and all there is to do here. The boys couldn't wait to get outside when they woke up - either exploring the house (which they loved running through since it is all open and in framing now); or running all around the woods; or their very favorite - being down at the beach! We launched the boat Sunday afternoon eventhough it was low tide. Good thing Paul is such an expert as what would normally challenge and defeat most boaters, he launched and got us around docked boats, through the shallow channel and avoided all the obstacles of not only other boats, but rocks and sand bars that show at low tide. What a skipper! Taking it out later in the evening with Dave proved a piece of cake as the tide was much much higher. Dave, Brandon, Jake, Paul and myself then viewed all the beauty along the way and ended up at our beach meeting Doug in his kayak. He and his family joined us after church for a nice relaxing afternoon together. Everyone enjoyed boat rides, playing in the sand, climbing the hill, and mostly just being together. We all came back to the boathouse for a nice leasurely supper and although it was tight, we didn't mind as long as we could be together. Was fun for Doug's older boys to see the progress of the main house and also see the boathouse as they hadn't been here since things were started.
Dave headed home this morning and will arrive sometime later this evening. He is great to keep in touch along the way checking in by text that all is well. Can't wait until the next time for more family fun and togetherness!!!
