Main House progress

Our mainhouse is developing with the character of design that Doug invisioned. We actually can see first hand the design now as it is moving right along. The final roof material goes on next week - we hope - and we are looking forward to the windows the first part of next month. Framing is almost done and the outside framing has almost been covered with the plywood. We're now to the point of not being sure what the contractor and crew can finish before we take over the project ourselves. Paul and I go over daily and clean the site after the workers leave. We have a great pile of scrap wood that makes wonderful fires in our woodburning stove. Looks like it may be a long while before we can actually start having the family get-togethers here....but we do love the boathouse and can squeeze visitors with us in there in the meantime. We're fast discovering there are many more important things in this life than having our home finished.
